A mixed evening

Monday 27th saw a mixed bag of results as both the 1st mixed at 2nd mens were in action.
The 2nd mens took on relegated Forest at MSV. Andy W kept the same side that battled hard agains the 1st team two weeks earlier. Paul and Rob once again impressed winning 2 from 3, with Con and Andy also taking a rubber. At 4-2 down the last three rubbers went to 3, unfortunately swinging in the away sides favour.
At Eastwood Leisure centre the 1st mixed looked to end an unwanted losing streak of 13 on the bounce against old foes Phoenixwood. With captain Steve away, Campbell stepped in to partner Sam Day. It was a match of close games but Mapperley had to much fire power, running out 8-1 winners and starting the push back to division 1 in style. Andy and Jackie, Craig and Louisa both taking hard fought maximums
