9 matches spread over two seperate seasons, that was the period without in a win in the Notts Premier division for the first mens team.
After being promoted last term alongside Forest, it seemed that this would be a close match and one that both teams would be looking to win. It didn't disappoint.
Andy and Ian started slow, as per the norm these days. But managed to win the first rubber in a three setter. Craig and Steve won their first rubber faily easily. They then took another to make the score 3-0, but Forest pulled it back to 3-3.
Andy T and Matt won their first and most important rubber of the season, leaving Andy and Ian to beat Forest's third pair to insure victory. This they did, and despite Craig and Steve losing the 9th rubber, the home side won its first Premier match at the 10th attempt
